Zooming really is smart in FireFox 3
I run my laptop at a resolution of 1920×1200. Given this low resolutions some sites are nearly unreadable and so I usually have to zoom into the page (Ctrl+Scroll Wheel) till I can read it comfortably.
What was irritating is that if I zoom into a page and then on the same tab I navigate to a different site, the new site was already zoomed. While if I opened the earlier site in another tab, I would have to zoom in again to get to a comfortable level.
Well, in FF3, this is solved.
If I zoom in on a particular site, it remembers the zoom level for that site. And from there on, whenever that site is opened anywhere, the last zoom level is automatically applied.
Additionally, if I have a site zoomed in in a given tab, and I open another site in the same tab, the zoom level for the new site is the default 100% level and not the one that I had set for the earlier site.
Of course, you may ask that how do you get back to the original zoom level of the site if FireFox keeps opening the last zoom level (though I am not sure why you would want to). You can use the simple Reset option from the View Menu (under Zoom) or press the shortcut key.
Combine this with the Zoom Text Only feature, and you get very smart zoom functionality in the latest and greatest FireFox. I love it.

And I have to really mention the absolutely awesome offline cache that Firefox has. All Urls that I have visited are available in full to me offline (not that I ever need it, but its a good feature anyway)…
