Year Round Up – 2008

I am not sure why I write these posts. I think mostly it is because it creates little time capsules for this blog which can be looked back upon. Here’s a link to the year of 2007.

I have given up thinking of the blog in terms of Google Page Rank or Alexa Rank as I have realized that these numbers are not what count the most in a personal blog such as this one.

Here are a couple of statistics:

  • Over 200,000 page views this year – that’s a rise of over 10 times as compared to my last year’s stats. I did get a lot of views from one of my posts which went viral on Stumble Upon – I had made an early comparison of Chrome and Firefox.
  • Total Posts and Comments – I crossed the 250 post mark this year and the total comments on the blog have touched 1000. Akismet had blocked over 45000 spam comments as well.

I did write much less content this year (largely because of being too busy with work).

For the next year, I aim to write much more content (technical and otherwise). It would be great to see another 10x jump in traffic on this blog (2,000,000 page views over a year – that’s not too much to ask for, I think).
