WiFi Hotspots in India

Are we finally getting there? Here I was sitting in the food court at MegaMall, Gurgaon; and just on a whim I decided to let the WiFi catcher on my laptop look outwards. And miracle, it found a wireless network. Now, will this be an unprotected network and will I be able to connect? Let’s try… … …. And yes, I connected. Now does this have an uplink to the internet?… trying www.google.com and yes the website shows up. Yipee…

Now I can finally have some fun while I wait for my wife to finish doing whatever she is doing around the mall. True to color, the network is not the fastest, nor the most stable. In the time it took me to type this post, I got disconnected and connected 10 times. But something is better than nothing… and for those who are not from India, this something is a pretty big thing as we don’t have hotspots.

Now let’s see if this gets posted to the blog.
