One of those posts about self…
My newfound friend on the blog-o-sphere decided to tag me, and now I guess, I need to write about myself a little (and I need to remember to link my About page to this post when I am done).
It’s the hardest thing to write about yourself, but thankfully there is a template going around which I just need to fill out, and so hopefully it won’t be too tough:
Eight things I am passionate about – in no particular order
- My work – I love what I do for a living, so each day at office is real fun. I work at a software company called Nagarro.
- Playing Games - I have a PSP, an XBox360, and loads of PC games.
- Reading - I read a lot (used to read almost a 100 novels a year in college), but not it’s not so much. But I read a lot more online now.
- Habitually Good (my blog) - I have been doing this for a long time now, and I didn’t think I was going to last that long, and since I have, I believe it’s because I am passionate about it.
- Animals – be it loving my dog; be it taking dogs on the street to animal shelter; be it donating money to these shelters; be it loving every minute spent in Corbett National Park or Kruger National Park; be it Animal Planet or National Geographic; I love it all.
- India – I love this country and it burns me whenever I see something wrong with it. I try my best to make it right when I can (even if it simply means following traffic rules).
- Social Responsibility – even though I am capitalist at heart (and I totally agree with “Atlas Shrugged”), I still think that we should all be responsible for helping out. I regularly donate to CRY, Kiva, and any other place where I feel it will help.
- Family - Need I say more?
Eight things I want to do before I die – this is a difficult list
- Sky Dive
- Places to Visit – visit all the places that I have on my places to visit list (Amazon Rainforests, Machu Picchu, Leh and Ladakh, Kerela, Mauritius, Masai Mara, Antarctica, Australia….. just to name a few).
- Meet Sachin Tendulkar – I am BIG fan.
- Be Rich – that is never going to happen, is it?
- Have a house, where I can keep as many dogs as I want – or open a business that has to do with pets (boarding, grooming, etc.).
- Attain professional satisfaction – I don’t know what this means yet, but at work I feel that I have so much more to achieve before I am done.
hmm, not too many more I can think of, does this mean I am closer to being ready to die?
Eight things I say often – I should get the people around me to write this section (and I am going to ask my wife to add some)
- WTF – a reflection upon the times we live in.
- Sorry – I don’t think I say this often enough. I don’t think anyone says this often enough.
- Thank you – ditto.
- I love you – ditto.
- I’m hungry – I think I say this a bit too much.
- I could have done it better – this came from my wife, not sure if I say it all that much.
- Trinity, get off the bed – to my dog.
- Oh C’mon
Eight books I have read recently
- Assassini – Thomas Gifford.
- Magician’s Guild – Trudi Canavan.
- The Novice – Trudi Canavan.
- The High Lord – Trudi Canavan.
- Freakonomics – Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt.
- The Deathly Hallows – J K Rowling.
That’s it, not too much offline reading these days.
Eight songs I could listen to over and over – this is coming straight from my most played list in iTunes.
- Hotel California - The Eagles – an all time classic.
- Yeh Jo Desh Hai Mera – Swades – melancholy.
- Money For Nothing – Dire Straits – don’t know why, but I love this song.
- Ain’t No Sunshine – The Lighthouse Family – watched Notting Hill?
- Khoon Chala – Rang De Basanti – this one always gives me goose bumps.
- Humma Humma - Bombay – all time favorite.
- Paradise City – GNR – from the young days.
- Smack My B***h Up – Prodigy – turn the volume way up for this one.
Eight things that attract me to my friends – huh, ask my friends! I don’t think I am answering this one (if any of my friends read this blog, please leave comments on what you think you like in me (if anything))
Phew. Now that that is done, I am going to tag the only other blogger I know on a personal basis:
Anshul – and I challenge him to come up with comic strips to answer each one of these (visit his blog to see what I mean).

I think making comic strips on this would take an eternity…
Thanks for tagging though, will try…
