Yes, I do disable any extra add-ins for my Outlook. My biggest problem with Outlook is still the fact that it hangs for a few seconds whenever I receive new email. Outlook loads in a few add-ins when it starts up and there are some which we can turn off. To do that, go to Tools - Trust Center - Add-ins . Depending on what software you've installed (and use) there will be a few add-ins which you can safely turn off.
