Live Search scores one over Google… for now
I have always liked how Google Search can be used as a command prompt on the Internet. However, here’s something I discovered today which Google Search doesn’t do while Microsoft’s Live Search does.
Microsoft Live Search solves Algebra. Yup. That’s right. Look at the screen shots below:

I guess kids can check their homework answers here from now on. Here are a couple more with slightly more complex equations.
It can solve logarithms. It solves natural logs as well.
Quadratic Equations are no problem either. I am not sure how useful this is, but I think it’s cool nevertheless.

Great.. I knew they can evaluate mathematical formulas like 2*7+9, but don’t about this thing.. This is cool..!

Neat.. I also found Live Maps on Windows Mobile has one or two features better than Google Maps -like audio feedback of turns/directions. But Google Maps is faster to startup because it can use cellphone signal triangulation to assist a GPS fix

@Sayan… I guess the cellphone signal technique won’t work in India - won’t you need integration with the operator in that case?
