IE vs Firefox vs Safari at rendering HTML

I use Firefox, but today through Google Analytics I found out that about 55% of my blog readers use IE. On a whim, I decided to open my blog in IE and it was a disaster. The whole site was Center Aligned. I tried it out in Safari, and it rendered fine.

Upon investigation, I found out that there was a closing bracket missing for a div tag in my header.php (I use Wordpress). When I fixed that, IE started rendering it just fine.

IE, it seems is much more intolerant of badly formed HTML as compared to Firefox and Safari.
