I agree that schools here don't teach that too much, but when you get into a corporate, they do. I think user experience/usability is one of the critical areas which is missing from the regular computer science courses in India. In my dept at UNC there was huge emphasis on UI/UX. I think in India we forget that computers and software or any device for that matter is ultimately used by people. the concept of user-centric design is missing... which explains why most Indian websites are horrible to use...
