Google Analytics Finally Has a New Look

I use Google Analytics a lot. Not only to track visits to my own blog, but I have access to look at and sometimes manage the Analytics account of our corporate websites, as well as some other public websites that I have helped folks out with. Now the main problem of course with Analytics was the slow speed with which data would load. Well, gone are those days with the new look of Google Analytics (which happens to be available to all the websites that I have access to). The new Analytics is not only orders of magnitude faster, it’s also cleaner, crisper, brighter, and most importantly, much more organized than before. Now various blogs cover the new features (one being Google Analytics itself), but below is a quick screenshot of my new Dashboard:

The only thing that I am going to miss is the old Map Overlay which may not be so useful for those getting a large number of hits, but was interesting for someone like me who would get not too many hits. I liked to see where (exactly) in the world are my visitors coming from. You can still do that, but you need to drill down in to the Map Overlay by clicking on the continents, countries, etc.

Nevertheless, it is a really great improvement.
