Google Adsense for Search
Most of us have Google Adsense enabled some way or another on our blogs. I put it on with the goal that I would like to get my annual hosting cost out of it. Looks like I will make it this year. Anyway, someone asked me about Adsense for Search, recently. So in helping them out, I put together a page which implements Google Adsense for Search. The page is here.
So what’s the big deal? Well:
- You can have your users never leave your site even if they want to search on Google.
- You make money if your users click on any of the ad links that are shown along with the search results.
- You get to retain your branding even if your users are doing an activity not provided by you.
- You get to insert extra Adsense units (as I have on the page above) to get further revenue.
Go ahead and try to make your own search page and integrate it into your site (of which I have done a pathetic job. But then again, I only spent 10 minutes on that to demo the ability to a friend).
