Getting better ads to display on your site

So, you have a blog like I do. So, you have Google Adsense integrated into it like I do. So, you are bothered sometimes at how the ads that display are totally out-of-sync with the overall taste of your blog. Well, there is a way out and I recently discovered it (though it was staring me in my face all along). I used to get this scarlet red ad for a dating/social networking site called Fropper. Anyway, I hate the look of that ad with respect to the rest of my blog and also it is not in sync with most of the stuff I write on my blog.

Here is how I solved it:

  1. Log into my Adsense account.
  2. Click on “AdSense Setup” Tab.
  3. Click on “Competitive Ad Filter”.
  4. Enter URL fropper.com into the AdSense for Content filter list.
  5. Click on “Save Changes”.

That’s it. 3-4 hours later, there is no more a Fropper ad on my blog.
