Connectivity on a Train

I am on my way to Delhi, from Pathankot, in the Pooja Express, writing this post. What is good in this situation is that I have the technology available to be able to do that. This is possible due to the reliance Data Card, which fits very nicely into my laptop’s PCMCIA slot and provides me with instant access to the internet. The bad in this situation is:

1. I cannot charge my laptop on the train (must remember to buy a spare battery).

2. The connection speed is pathetic

3. The connection itself is pretty intermittent (I keep getting disconnected as the connectivity is dependent upon the availability of Reliance’s CDMA network).

Still, I think this is pretty nice. India is making progress and that makes me happy.
