Beauties and the Beasts

imageA while ago I posted photographs I had taken during a thunderstorm. Those came out nice according to my standards. This caused me to go back over other photos that I have taken in the past and put them up on the blog.

I have put together some pictures I had taken last year during a visit to Pattaya. These pictures were taken at the Millennium Park in Pattaya. These are not as cool as the lightning pictures, but some of them are pretty good (because of the way the colors have come out in them). Please leave your comments on what you think about these.

First, the beauties - there was a small fountain type pond with lots of lotuses, so I stopped and photographed a few of them. Here goes:

And some more - these guys were inside cages at a mini zoo of sorts at the park. I think colors came out very nice on them.

And finally the beasts - He is jumping because I have a juicy piece of chicken dangling just out of his reach.  It was fun to feed these crocs. There were hundreds of them. The one after this was a really big one.

This was at a crocodile show at the park. No matter how much you train these animals, they are still dangerous. During the show, the guy actually put his head in that open mouth.

Croc 3

It’s a shame to call this guy a beast (and not a beauty). And it’s a bigger shame that he was chained and being used by tourists to take photographs.

  1. The pic of the tiger is very sad indeed! the whole state of affairs in India, with regards to the tiger is a tragedy!

  2. True… not just India, all of south-east Asia as well. And not just tigers, there are so many more which are under this plight.
