3 most useful Browser Shortcuts
The help file in Firefox lists about 58 common shortcuts (I guess the total number must be much bigger). I am pretty sure IE has a similar number of shortcuts. But who wants to learn all these shortcuts. I use 3 shortcuts and that is all I need:
- Alt + D - This takes you to the address bar to type a new address to go to (of course, you can combine it with Ctrl+Enter to save 15 key strokes).
- Ctrl + E - This takes you the search box where you can type what you need to look for and search for it in whichever search engine you have got configured there.
- Ctrl + T - This opens a new tab (which i usually follow up by either of the first two on this list).
I don’t need anything else. This is what i use 90% of the times when I am browsing.

Well actually not Rohit, because all external links are set to nofollow… so you were not gaining them anyway.

@Ajit… true, but only in Firefox, not in IE (at least not in IE7).
The Alt+D and Ctrl+E work in both browsers…
